The tour of Athens starts in front of the House of the Greek Parliament. At first you will be able to see the monument to the Unknown Soldier and watch the changing of the guards. Then you will enjoy a pleasant walk through the National Gardens the neoclassical Zappeionconference center (The oldest in Europe) the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch and the old Plaka district.

The tour continues with a visit to the Acropolis, where you will see the Propylea,

The temple of Nike, the Parthenon, wonders of the Golden Age of Pericles .

From the Acropolis hill you will have a breathtaking view of the surroundings, including the Agora,the Observatory, the Democracy hill (Pnyx), the Philopappos Hill and Mars Hill.

You will also admire  the theater of Dionysos and the Odeion of Herodus Atticus where ancient Greek drama was first staged. The guided tour ends on the hill of the Acropolis. Afterwards you can continue your tour by visiting the new Acropolis Museum, or Ancient Agora & Attalos Museum (Optional).

ENTRANCE FEES (TICKETS) ARE NOT INCLUDED

Please make sure you have cash (euros) with you to purchase the tickets. We buy the tickets for you in advance, in order to avoid lining up.

Acropolis Ticket for adults:  26 euros (from April 01 to October 31st 2016) covering Acropolis with all its monuments (Parthenon, Erechtheion, Nike Temple, Propylaia)and also  Dionysus theater and Temple of Zeus.

This is an organized tour with fixed itinerary.

Departure from Syntagma Square at 9:30.

The meeting point is inside the Syntagma Metro Station, next to the ticket validating machines, underneath the hanging clock. Your tour guide or office representative will be holding a Athens Walking Tours sign to identify them. 
Please make sure that you get there at 9:15 because the tour starts at 9:30 am*.
